一、technology的用法

technology 表示“技術(shù)”，通常指工業(yè)技術(shù)或科學(xué)技術(shù)等，是指科學(xué)知識在實(shí)踐(或某一行業(yè)的實(shí)踐)中的總體運(yùn)用，其含義較抽象，通常是不可數(shù)名詞。如：

Modern life depends on good technology. 現(xiàn)代生活依賴先進(jìn)的技術(shù)。

Computer (Medical) technology is changing the world. 電腦(醫(yī)療)技術(shù)正在改變世界。

It was achieved with the help of modern technology. 借助現(xiàn)代技術(shù)，這個(gè)目標(biāo)已經(jīng)達(dá)到。

The results of this research can be applied to new developments in technology. 這項(xiàng)研究成果能應(yīng)用于新的技術(shù)開發(fā)方面。

注：有時(shí)表示“技術(shù)水平”。如：

How good is the technology of these machines? 這些機(jī)器技術(shù)水平如何?

Britain is behind Japan in developing modern technology. 在發(fā)展現(xiàn)代技術(shù)(水平)方面英國落后于日本。

二、technique的用法

technique 表示“技術(shù)”，是針對方法和技巧而言的，所以它通常可譯為“技藝”或“技巧”等，尤其指音樂、藝術(shù)、體育、寫作等方面的“技巧”。視含義的具體與抽象可用作可數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞。如：

Technique must be gained by practice. 技巧須通過實(shí)踐獲得。

This musician has perfect technique. 這個(gè)音樂家有極高的技巧。

You should improve your writing technique. 你要提高你的寫作技巧。
