一、內(nèi)容
本模塊以“動物”為話題,介紹了世界各地的動物及其棲息地、習(xí)性等,同時也喚起學(xué)生熱愛動物,保護(hù)動物的意識。內(nèi)容緊密結(jié)合初中學(xué)生所熟悉和喜愛的話題而展開聽、說、讀、寫的語言實踐活動。使學(xué)生既開闊了眼界又增長了知識。本節(jié)課是給學(xué)生上本模塊的第二單元,要求學(xué)生能讀懂有關(guān)介紹動物的篇章,并能找出文中相關(guān)細(xì)節(jié)信息。本模塊的語法重點是一般現(xiàn)在時第三人稱單數(shù)作主語的疑問句及其回答。
二、學(xué)生分析
通過Unit1的,學(xué)生已經(jīng)掌握了一些動物詞匯,已經(jīng)初步接觸過一般現(xiàn)在時第三人稱單數(shù)作主語的疑問句及其回答表達(dá)形式,而Unit 2主要是學(xué)習(xí)各大洲詞匯和閱讀介紹動物棲息地、習(xí)性的文章。本單元是學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的重點,也就是有許多知識點需要學(xué)生理解和掌握。只要合理地進(jìn)行教學(xué)設(shè)計,學(xué)生將能夠很好地對所學(xué)知識進(jìn)行綜合運(yùn)用,取得良好的教學(xué)效果。
三、設(shè)計思想
本人圍繞本課的教學(xué)重點項目,對教材內(nèi)容作了以下的處理:在通過用多媒體呈現(xiàn)一些動物的圖片,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生談?wù)搫游锏臈⒌睾挽柟桃话悻F(xiàn)在時第三人稱單數(shù)作主語的疑問句及其回答;通過用多媒體呈現(xiàn)一些動物被殘害的圖片來進(jìn)行德育滲透,來喚起學(xué)生熱愛動物,保護(hù)動物的意識。同時在教學(xué)過程中通過猜謎、趣味問答問題以及Chant 活動,充分調(diào)動學(xué)生積極性,課堂氣氛活躍,在教學(xué)過程中兼顧知識的運(yùn)用能力培養(yǎng)以及文化素養(yǎng)的提升,培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生實踐能力和創(chuàng)造能力,使學(xué)生在特定環(huán)境中領(lǐng)悟語言,拓寬視野,獲得樂趣和成就感。
四、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1.知識與技能
1)能夠聽說讀寫本單元出現(xiàn)的詞匯Africa, African, America, American, Asia, Asian, Europe, European, Arctic

2)學(xué)會讀懂有關(guān)介紹動物的簡單文章,并從中獲取重要相關(guān)細(xì)節(jié)信息,進(jìn)行簡單的閱讀技能訓(xùn)練
2.學(xué)習(xí)策略:一定程度形成自主學(xué)習(xí),有效交際、信息處理、英語思維能力。
3.文化意識:熱愛動物,關(guān)愛動物.了解常見動物在英語國家中的文化含義
4.情感態(tài)度:
在用英語交流中,培養(yǎng)熱愛動物,保護(hù)動物的意識。參加各種英語活動,克服困難,在新環(huán)境中進(jìn)一步樹立準(zhǔn)確的語言學(xué)習(xí)觀。

StepⅠ. Lead in
1、Warming-up and greeting
Teachers always greet to the students in order to make them feel relaxed before the new lesson.
T: How are you ?/Nice to meet you!/Do you like animals?/ What is your favourite animal?...
2. Show the students the cartoon movie and lead to the new lesson.
借助播放一段精彩的動畫錄像來引發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,創(chuàng)設(shè)英語學(xué)習(xí)的良好氛圍,師生在欣賞動畫片的狀態(tài)下明確教學(xué)目標(biāo),發(fā)揮目標(biāo)導(dǎo)向作用。
Step Ⅱ Revision
1.Revise the words of animals.
1)用多媒體課件呈現(xiàn)一些動物的圖片,ask the students to remember the animals.
2).出示動物的某一部位的圖片,讓學(xué)生進(jìn)行猜動物比賽。是鞏固詞匯的有趣的方法以及能很好的激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的積極性.
StepⅢ. Presentation
1. Learn the new words. (grassland /desert/forest/jungle)
用多媒體課件呈現(xiàn)一些草原,沙漠,森林,叢林的圖片來認(rèn)識這些新單詞。
2.Show a map of the world to learn the words of continents
(Africa/African/Europe/European/Asia/Asian/Oceania/Oceanian/South America/North America)
3. Fill in the blank to consolidate the continents.
以表格的形式呈現(xiàn)更能使學(xué)生分辨名詞和形容詞的區(qū)別。
4.Ask the students to enjoy the video of the animals in the zoo.
播放一段動物在動物園里活動的錄像,能及時消除疲勞提高課堂效率。
5.Present the sentences after watching the video.
---Does the polar bear come from Africa?
---No , it doesn’t.
---Is it African?
---No, it isn’t.
以不同動物的圖片呈現(xiàn)來操練句型,容易使學(xué)生明確動物的棲息地以及區(qū)分名詞和形容詞的用法。同時也是把篇章中出現(xiàn)的重點和難點句型提前操練,為下一步閱讀課文減小難度。
6.Show the pictures of the different animals and ask the students to practise in pairs.
全班學(xué)生都有機(jī)會輪流進(jìn)行兩人小組對話練習(xí),目的是提高學(xué)生口語的表達(dá)能力。
Step Ⅳ. Reading
1.Read the passage and answer the questions.

Where does the kangaroo live?
Where does the monkey live?
Where does this snake come from?
2.Read again and choose the correct answers.
通過多媒體課件把學(xué)生感興趣的動物圖片與相對應(yīng)的問題連接起來。
First ask the students what his or her favourite animal is. Then answer the question about it. 這一個環(huán)節(jié)的活動能把回答問題的枯燥變成令學(xué)生感興趣的活動,而且能使學(xué)生主動參與課堂活動,增強(qiáng)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)自信心。

How do people get on well with the animals?
用多媒體課件呈現(xiàn)動物被殘害的圖片,讓學(xué)生進(jìn)行互相討論人類如何與動物和諧相處。呈現(xiàn)熊貓,金絲猴,藏羚羊圖片,這是我國國家級保護(hù)動物。If we don’t protect(保護(hù))them, can we see these lovely animals in the future?討論的目的是倡儀學(xué)生要熱愛動物,保護(hù)動物There is only one earth(地球) in the world. Animals are our friends. We should (應(yīng)該) protect(保護(hù)) them.
