There are several ways you can find out about the countries and places you wish to visit. You can talk to friends who have traveled to the places, you can go and see a colour film about them, or you can read a travel book.
It seems that there are three kinds of travel books. The first are those that give a personal, subjective(主觀的) idea of travels which their writer has got himself. These books can be useful if the writers share their traveling experiences with others. The second kind are those books which give objective(客觀的) information of things to be done and seen. If a cultured person has written such a book about the facts of a place, then it is more useful. The third kind are those books which are called “a guide” to some place or other. If they are good, they will describe and explain the place in detail. Like the first kind , they can be interesting and exciting, but their main purpose is to help the reader plan his travel in the most practical way.
Whatever kind of travel book you choose, you must make sure that the book does not describe everything as interesting, exciting or fantastic. You must also keep an open eyes on its date of publication(出版) because travel is very practical matter and many things change quickly in the 21st century. Finally, you should make sure that it’s easy to find the useful information for you travel.

A. the first kind of travel books B. the second kind of travel books
C. the third kind of travel books D. some travel articles in newspaper

Recently the “China dream” has been the subject of a public topic. Although it is quite common for Chinese people to dream of an empowered or a prosperous(繁榮) China, most people also have their own dreams. Throughout China’s thousands of years of history, these “China dreams” have always existed. (存在)Do you have a “China dream”? I brought up this topic with several young Chinese students with higher U.S. educational backgrounds. Unsurprisingly, they all had their own heartfelt hopes and dre ams for their motherland.
Fred Wang, an MBA candidate(畢業(yè)生) in the U.S. said, “I dream of equal chance for the young in China. Equality means all young people can compete fairly, based on the rule-of-law no matter whether they are rich or poor.”
Yujie Zhao, another MBA candidate in California said, “I dream of a happy family with an affordable home. I dream of having the best education for my children so they will not lose at the starting line, and I dream of being able to take good care of my parents after they retire(退休).” She said, “It seems like all my dreams are about family, but it is so true for most Chinese young dreamers today.”
Yiqiong Zhang, an MBA graduate from the US shared her dreams. “I have a dream which I have been holding for many years, that is after working hard for about 20 to 25 years, I can have enough money to build and manage a small bookstore or a flower shop. Besides working hard, I am able to enjoy life: to play the piano, to hike and to enjoy a two-month-long vacation every year. This may be a common dream among young Chinese students.”
There is no doubt (疑問)that all of these young students have their own “China dream”. They all love China, they all love running after their dreams. Beautiful “China Dream” needs hard work. Everyone should work hard to make their dream come true.
62. Which is RIGHT about the three young Chinese students?
A. They receive higher education in China.
B. They have their own hopes and dreams for China.
C. They receive education of all levels in Americ a.
D. They have their own hopes and dreams for America.
63. What does the word “compete” in the second paragraph mean?
A. 對待 B. 完成 C. 競爭 D. 成功
64. Yujie Zhao hopes that __ _________.
A. all young people can have equal chances.
B. she can have a happy family with a big house
C. her children can receive the best education in America
D. she can look after her parents well when they are old
65. From the passage we can learn that ____________.
A. “China Dream” is very difficult to come true.
B. “China Dream” does need everyone’s hard work.
C. “China Dream” is a subject we need to study in China.

六.任務(wù)型閱讀:(共10小題;每小題1分,計10分)
Much meaning can be carried, clearly, with our eyes, so it is often said that eyes can speak.Do you have such kind of experience? In a bus you may look at a stranger, but not too long. And if he notices that he is being stared at(盯著看), he may feel uncomfortable.
The same is in daily life. If you are looked at for more than necessary, you will look at yourself up and down, to see if there is anything wrong with you. If nothing goes wrong, you will feel angry with the person who is looking at you that way . Eyes do speak, right?
Looking too long at someone may seem to be rude. But things are different when it comes to stare at the opposite sex. If a man looks at a woman for more than 10 seconds and refuses to turn away from his looking,, his purpose are obvious(明顯的), that is, he wishes to attract her attention, to make her understand that he is admiring her.
However, the normal eye contact for two people during a conversation is that the speaker will only look at the listener from time to time, in order to make sure that the listener does pay attention to what his friend is speaking, to tell him that he is interested.
If a speaker looks at you all the time when speaking, as if he tries to control you, you will feel uncomfortable and strange. We usually find a poor liar (說謊者)usually looking too long at the listener, since he believes that it is a sign of honest communication to look straight in the eye. Totally wrong!
In fact, continuous eye contact only happens between lovers, who will enjoy looking at each other gently for a long time, to show feelings that words cannot express. Obviously, eye contact should be done according to the relationship between two people and the proper situation.
Eyes can speak
In our 76 life A lot of feelings can be 77 to others with our eyes. There are a lot of facts to prove it. You may not feel very well when you are 78 at more than often. This time it will make you 79 and you will wonder if there’s something wrong. If not, you’ll be really angry.
When you look too long at the 80 sex Looking too long at a girl you 81 means you wish to attract her attention. And most of the time, continuous eyes contacting is just for 82 .
When you have a 83 with someone If a speaker looks at the listeners at 84 ,it is a kind
of 85 eye contact.
So remember to look at your partner at the right time. If not, it will make others uncomfortable.
